Is It Necessary To Create A Blog For My Website?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, there are pro’s and con’s for having and not having a blog. I will choose to focus on the side of having a blog to complement your business or website. To some out there it seems that a blog and a website are one is the same. While both exist on the same platform they serve different purposes online. Creating a blog to go along with your website will allow you to create fresh information on regular basis that your clients and customers will enjoy. Search engines love fresh content – Remember from my previous post I mentioned the phrase ‘Content is King’. You will need to create quality content to maximize on your search engine traffic, the better the quality of content, the better your ROI will be. Great content will give your readers the impression that you are an expert in your field. A client or customer is more likely to give you there business if they believe in what you know about your area of expertise.
Remember to keep writing, create good quality content and be consistent with your posting. Do not post sporadically as this can annoy some readers. When it comes to blogs quite a few readers are like creatures of habits. It is not easy to maintain a blog, it will require a lot of hard work especially if you are not a naturally writer. One thing I will advise against if you decide to create a blog for your business, do not have someone else write your blog for you, as I have seen many posts online from various people looking writers to do their blog postings. It can be embarrassing if their thoughts do not coincide with your own.
